Faith Formation Classes begin September 16th, 2012
SPARK
SPARK is a class for children age 2 through grade two held during the readings and sermon at both the 9:00 and the 11:00 worship services. Children will examine one Bible story a month through fun, hands-on workshops. Children are also welcome to stay in worship with their families.
Sunday School
Godly Play(for children age 2 through 2nd grade) will meet weekly from 10:10-10:55 in the room across from the atrium. This Montessori-based approach presents Bible stories to children using hands-on manipulatives and provides opportunities for art, music, or play responses.
Club 345> is a club for students in grades 3, 4, & 5. It meets every Sunday from 10:10-10:55 in the Olivet Teen Room. Students will explore one Bible story each month through hands-on workshops such as: art, Bible skills and games, cooking, creative drama, music, science, & video.
Faith Formation classes began September 16 and meets most Sundays except for December 30. SPARK will also not meet on October 28, November 25, December 23, March 24, March 31

Milestones
Milestones ministry is a series of faith workshops, public blessings, and gift giving to mark significant steps along a child’s faith journey. This ministry seeks to provide resources for parents to use in teaching faith to their children.
Baptism: Blessing blanket, baby or children’s Bible, book for parents and sponsors.
First Communion (age determined by family): Workshops on 4 Sundays from 10:10-10:55 (Feb 17— March 10, 2013); special prayer during worship.
Entrance into Christian education (age 2 or 3): SPARK Story Bible presentation (September 9, 2012)
Entrance into school (and annually): Blessing of backpacks & gift (August19, 2012)
Third grade:Bible workshop & presentation of Bibles (January 13, 2013; workshop meets 5 Sundays from 10:10-10:55, January 13—February 10)
Sixth grade: Entrance into Confirmation class, new Bibles (August 26, 2012, 10:10 AM)
Ninth grade: Confirmation service, gift (October 28, 2012, 9:00 service)
Twelfth grade: Graduation recognition brunch, prayer, and gift (June 2, 2013, 10:00 AM)
Choir & Music
Preschool
Young children join choir director Carol Miller in singing traditional Sunday School songs during the first five minutes of SPARK at each worship service.
Elementary (grades 1-6)
Our elementary school-aged choir members bring energy and enthusiasm to worship through their anthems & spring musical at Olivet and area assisted living facilities. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays during the school year from 5:30-6:15 PM.
