Your Welcome Committee at Olivet is pleased to announce that some of the furniture purchased to refresh the atrium is here as of December 9. We have been working over the past months to discern how the space is used by the pastor, staff, and the various groups at Olivet. We have searched outlets, thrifts, and local furniture stores for the best and most cost-efficient furniture to enhance the space and maximize your comfort when using the space.
Veh and Son in Gibsonburg came through for us. We got a very good price on the bulk of the furniture from Veh and Son. Management there even waived the cost of the increased tariffs. This furniture was purchased with private donations from individuals and memorial funds. The replaced furniture, which was 27 years old, has been moved on to a family in need of such a set.
We hope that you find the new furniture to your liking. We tried hard to keep your interests and preferences in mind when purchasing this.
We have a few other pieces of furniture coming. All should be complete before Christmas. Thank you for your support.
Sue Hamen took responsibility for the glass display case closest to the Welcome Center and has shared with us her collection of Temari Balls. They are such unusual items and it is fascinating how they are made. Thank you, Sue!
